Exponential dispersion models for overdispersed zero-inflated count data

چکیده
We consider two classes of exponential dispersion models discrete probability distributions which are defined by specifying their variance functions in mean value parameterization. These were considered our earlier paper as overdispersed zero-inflated distributions. In this we analyze the application these to fit count data having and statistics. For reason, first elaborate on computational aspects distributions, before fitting with models. execute an extensive comparison other statistical that recently proposed, both real sets, simulated sets. Our findings framework is a flexible tool gives excellent results wide range cases. Moreover, specifically when characteristics show also large skewness kurtosis perform best.

Bayesian generalized additive models for location, scale and shape for zero-inflated and overdispersed count data
Frequent problems in applied research that prevent the application of the classical Poisson log-linear model for analyzing count data include overdispersion, an excess of zeros compared to the Poisson distribution, correlated responses, as well as complex predictor structures comprising nonlinear effects of continuous covariates, interactions or spatial effects. We propose a general class of Ba...

Consistent estimation of zero-inflated count models.
Applications of zero-inflated count data models have proliferated in health economics. However, zero-inflated Poisson or zero-inflated negative binomial maximum likelihood estimators are not robust to misspecification. This article proposes Poisson quasi-likelihood estimators as an alternative. These estimators are consistent in the presence of excess zeros without having to specify the full di...
متن کاملFitting Zero-Inflated Count Data Models by Using PROC GENMOD
Count data sometimes exhibit a greater proportion of zero counts than is consistent with the data having been generated by a simple Poisson or negative binomial process. For example, a preponderance of zero counts have been observed in data that record the number of automobile accidents per driver, the number of criminal acts per person, the number of derogatory credit reports per person, the n...
متن کاملMediation analysis for count and zero-inflated count data.
Different conventional and causal approaches have been proposed for mediation analysis to better understand the mechanism of a treatment. Count and zero-inflated count data occur in biomedicine, economics, and social sciences. This paper considers mediation analysis for count and zero-inflated count data under the potential outcome framework with nonlinear models. When there are post-treatment ...
